Ecumenical councils are convened assemblies of church hierarchy and theological exprerts for the tendency of regulating and discussing church doctrine. The Council of Trent was the nineteenth council of the Church and it was held in the sixteenth part part century, in Trent, Italy between December 1545 and December 1563.
