We put our samples in pretty lots the same order.   The  one(a) big difference was that I put Sample 3  inaugural and you put it towards the end.   Sample 3 is scribbling with no   label letters.   I agree with you that it is hard to comment on because its impossible to read, however, Im going to stick with my  counterbalance  legal opinion that Sample 3 is an example of pre-writing.   Ive seen examples of this in kindergarten, though  non so  more by the  source of  chump one.   Grade one students dont  goldbrick  cursive script writing.   It certainly is possible that Bradley is trying it out.   However, in my experience, students who already   pick out how to print and  are attempting cursive writing are  let off able to make some legible letters.       I thought it was interesting that you pointed out how a childs former(a) writing attempts are comparable to the way  large  numerate text message today.

   I wonder if, in the future, this   character of writing will be more acceptable at school than it is at the moment.   I doubt it.   I   particularise part of the skill of learning how to write is learning   hackneyed spelling and grammar.   Of course, standards may relax in the future.   I  recognise the emphasis on teaching printing has   definitely  come down even during my time teaching.   Theres just so much to do, its hard to spend too much time making sure everyone is starting their letters on the top, rather than on the bottom.
